"Big Idea" from Inspired Russian Composer
Whether you know his name or not… you know his music.
Tchaikovsky is the Russian composer who wrote the famous music to the Nutcracker.
He also wrote an incredibly famous tune for Romeo a Juliet that’s been used in many, many films.
I rank him as one of the top 3 or 4 best melody writers in history.
To translate that to copywriting, he’s one of the best “big idea” copywriters ever.
His big ideas stick. And they’re full of emotion.
When asked about where he gets his inspiration for such amazing “big idea” melodies, he responded…
“Inspiration is a guest that does not willingly visit the lazy.”
I’ve learned this lesson well enough as a composer.
And now I’m learning it as a copywriter.
I’m writing Every. Single. Day.
(Although, I did miss yesterday because of a fierce “man cold” that flattened me… In fact, as I write this, I’ve still got the cold sweats and shivers… but I’m writing anyway )
Chapter 5 of my soon to be released book is all about this idea that seems so foreign nowadays.
Most are looking for the path of least resistance.
But this idea of HARD WORK will always trump “the easy way out.”

And may your copy every be melodic and harmonious!
